Vintage ceramic set of 4 escargot baking and serving dish. It features six circular indentations designed to securely hold cooked snails, quail eggs, mushrooms, or stuffed appetizers while preventing them from rolling and trapping savory melted butter or sauces.  Features 6 deep wells and a single handle for transferring directly from oven to tabletop.  Material: Heavy, heat-retentive glazed stoneware or ceramic.  Common Uses: Baking classic Escargots à la Bourguignonne (snails in garlic butter), roasting individual mushroom caps, or serving round tapas.
