Description
Verotchka's Tales by Mamin-Siberiak, translated by Ray Davidson and illustrated by Boris Artzybasheff. This 1932 reprint by E.P. Dutton & Co. features a collection of charming Russian children's stories, including The Story of a Bold Rabbit with Cockeyes and a Short Tail and Vanka's Birthday. The book is presented in its original red cloth hardcover with green stamped illustrations, accompanied by a scarce original dust jacket from the Youth's Caravan of Books series. Artzybasheff's distinctive illustrations bring these classic folk-style tales to life, making it a wonderful addition for collectors of vintage children's literature or Russian folklore. The dust jacket shows significant wear and paper loss, particularly at the spine ends, while the internal pages remain clean and legible.
