Propagates by self-seeding.
Germination time varies depending on the environment, but:
Approximately 20 days after sowing (late November, indoors by a window).
Germination is faster in warmer temperatures (around 10 days in mid-April).
If you sow seeds early in a warm location and transplant them outdoors in early spring,
you should get some seed heads in the fall.
It is hardy and easy to grow, but its growth is moderate.
