Kyoto's Hirobe Shoji is a long-established store specializing in traditional Japanese clothing such as Noh and traditional Japanese music costumes, as well as attire for practices like Gin'ei (recitation), Shibu (poetry dance), Kenbu (sword dance), Nihon Buyo (Japanese dance), tea ceremony, and martial arts. This is a fabric sample book received when a customer ordered a hakama for their Oshimai (a type of dance performance). It has been carefully preserved as a rare historical document. No signs of yellowing or damage are apparent.
