Vintage Reclaimed Acrylic Wool DK Yarn – 985 Yds 360g – Dark Purple (4 Cakes)

Give clothing a second life with this reclaimed yarn in an dark purple shade. This beautiful vintage sweater was discarded due to a hole near the right shoulder. This yarn was deconstructed by hand, helping to reduce textile waste and keep usable fibers, such as this gorgeous purple yarn, out of landfills. The original sweater was washed thoroughly with hypoallergenic detergent before being carefully unraveled and wound into 4 neat yarn cakes. Fiber content is 70% Acrylic / 30% Wool. Joins you encounter are from the garment's original manufacturing process or a very small amount of additional joins where damaged or weakened sections of yarn were removed. As with all reclaimed yarn, there may be slight variations in color and texture which is just a small reminder of the yarns past life and what makes it so unique.
